Some time ago, I found myself inside a Paris-themed bistro on the outskirts of Savannah, a city some might refer to as the Portland of the south. The bistro, although pleasant, had less employees and more customers than ideal. As such, I found myself sharing a table with a unique gentleman.

Two recent nominations join Disregard’s eight previous awards
During various 2022 sessions across two states, Messier and frequent collaborator Tim Labonte of Stand Still Pictures salvaged the remnants of the footage first explored in Disregard the Vampire – A Mike Messier Documentary. They teamed with composer Tony Caramadre of Phattones Studios for this re-imagined vision which aims to honor the efforts put forth by the cast and crew, albeit in a new narrative presentation than what was originally intended (watch the aforementioned documentary for the full story).

Mike Messier wins a Best Actor Award from India’s Havelock International Film Festival
Thanks to HAVELOCK INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL for awarding Mike Messier “Best Actor, Micro Short” in the April 2022 edition of their wonderful festival out of Port Blair, Andaman, and Nicobar Island, India. This accolade is the second Acting Award for this piece after Toronto’s Mike Messier’s Best Actor Award from Toronto’s Couch Film Festival.
