Happy to report that Mike Messier’s proof-of-concept video/short film derived from Mike’s novel A Distance from Avalon: when the dying and the dead reunite has received two awards (below) from Makizhmithran International Film Festival.
Thanks to my friend, film producer David Gere I was able to submit to play the “Henchman” in BLUNT, a feature film shot in Massachusetts, written and Directed by Anna Elizabeth James.

Thanks to HAVELOCK INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL for awarding Mike Messier “Best Actor, Micro Short” in the April 2022 edition of their wonderful festival out of Port Blair, Andaman, and Nicobar Island, India. This accolade is the second Acting Award for this piece after Toronto’s Mike Messier’s Best Actor Award from Toronto’s Couch Film Festival.
Mike recently used the Airbnb service for the first time in back to back stays in Princeton, New Jersey, and Mellville, New York for his respective appearances at the Nassau Film Festival and The Evan Ginzburg Show.
