Mike Messier has recently teamed up with U.S. Military Veteran, Poet and Actor Aaron Woodson for a collaborative effort titled Aaliyah and Troy, a feature length screenplay.

The story is about Troy, a lone wolf military veteran who suffers from PTSD who discovers himself at home in a community of spoken word artists via his new single mom love interest named Aaliyah. However, her complicated relationship with her daughter’s father, and Troy’s reaction to this, threatens to push him over the edge.
